LAMPING - It is with sadness that the family of Meredith Lamping, 36 years of Humboldt and formerly of St. Gregor, announce her death which occurred on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Saskatoon City Hospital. Meredith was born on May 30, 1975 in Humboldt to Mike and Olive (nee Benson) Krysa. She grew up on a farm in the Burr/Guernsey area and started school at Guernsey, also attending Humboldt Public School and Humboldt Collegiate Institute. Following her education, she worked at various businesses in Humboldt until she began work at Michel Industries in St. Gregor, where she worked until last year. On March 16, 1996 Meredith married Randy Lamping in Humboldt and they made their home in St. Gregor. They were blessed with two children, Cody and Paige. She was a typical busy mom, keeping active in and supporting their many activities. Her family was the most important part of her life and she cared for and loved them deeply. She especially enjoyed travelling with them and they were fortunate to have been able to take many family vacations. Meredith was a quiet person who enjoyed listening to music and reading in her leisure time. Just back from a family trip to California in July 2010, Meredith and Cody were involved in a car accident which claimed Cody's life and left her in critical condition. Through the care of many dedicated professionals and the love and encouragement of all of her family, Meredith was making progress and had currently been in a rehabilitation program at City Hospital in Saskatoon. Meredith will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 15 years, Randy and their daughter, Paige of Humboldt; her parents, Mike and Olive Krysa of Humboldt; two brothers and four sisters: Norm (Kathy) Krysa of Lanigan, Joyce (Rob) Blum of Swift Current, Alan Krysa (Judy Dunne) of Saskatoon, Bev Krysa of Regina, Darlene Krysa (Dave Benson) of Humboldt and Maryann (Herman) Reiffersheid of Fulda; father-in-law, Hugo Lamping of Bruno; brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Lois (Lyle) Gartner of Wakaw, Wendy Kuka (Dave Wanhella) of Humboldt and Terry (Christine) Lamping of Bruno;Randy's grandmother, Alvina Weiman of Bruno; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Meredith was predeceased by her son, Cody Lamping; mother-in-law, Marlene Lamping; brother-in-law, Dennis Kuka; grandparents, Wes and Ida Benson and Harry and Julia Krysa; and Randy's grandparents, John Weiman and William and Anna Lamping. The Funeral Service for Meredith was held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Humboldt, officiated by Mrs. Jenny Irwin. Interment followed in the St. Bruno Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bruno, with Fr. Joseph Ackerman, OSB presiding.
