Margaret HinzDecember 28, 1923 - March 4, 2011The death of Mrs. Margaret (nee Lange) Hinz of Humboldt occurred at Humboldt District Hospital on Friday, March 4, 2011. She was 87 years of age. Margaret was born to Henry and Martha (nee Kuhn) Lange on December 28, 1923, at Wakaw. She was raised on the Lange family homestead in the Leofeld district. Margaret was baptized at Leofeld R.C. Church, and attended Leofeld School. On June 20, 1949, she married Art Hinz at Watson. The couple were blessed with two daughters, Janet and Geraldine. As well as 小蓝视频 a homemaker, Margaret worked as a bookkeeper at Grest Motors in Humboldt and also helped Art with the farming operation at Muenster for several years. In 1960, the couple moved to Wilkie, where they owned and operated two businesses, M&A Cafe, and the Esso Service Station and restaurant. Margaret was a member of the local C.W.L., the 4-H Club, and the Co-op Guild. Eventually, she and Art moved to Saskatoon where they managed several apartment blocks. As well, Margaret taught sewing lessons at the Cosmo Civic Centre. Art and Margaret semi-retired to Humboldt, where Margaret continued her passion of sewing for many friends and family. Margaret dedicated her love and life caring for her husband Art and enjoying her talent of sewing beautiful doll dresses for her many Barbie dolls, which were greatly appreciated by family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, knitting, painting, doing ceramics, and was a member of the Humboldt German Heritage Club, and secretary-treasurer at Kinsmen Court. The highlights of her life were her family, grandchildren and a trip taken to England to visit her granddaughter Shay Beattie and her family. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: Janet (Brian) Delainey of Lethbridge, AB, and family, Shay (Alistair) Beattie of England and children, John and Skye; Brian (Tara Johns) Delainey of Estevan and daughter Alexa; and Geraldine (Willy) Redlich of Bigger and family, Christopher Redlich (fiancee Charissa Johnson) of Kindersley, Joseph Redlich of Lloydminster, and Colton Redlich of Biggar. She was predeceased by her husband, Art Hinz (July 8, 2007); grandson, Jason Delainey; parents, Henry and Martha (nee Kuhn) Lange; and by six brothers and two sisters: Joe Lange, Al Lange, Henry Lange, Monica Washkosky, Nora Hinz, Rudy Lange, Roman Lange, and Arthur Lange. The Prayer Service for Margaret was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., led by Donna Delainey and organist Dolores Hinz. Scripture readers were Elaine Saretsky and Elaine Lange. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine R.C. Church, Humboldt, on Monday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Daniel Muyres, OSB. Others taking part were: Joe Redlich, cross bearer; Christopher Redlich and Myra Hinz, scripture readers; Darlene Zabolotney, intentions; Shay Beattie and Brian Delainey, gift bearers; Donna Delainey, special music; Janet Delainey and Geraldine Redlich, urnbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Delainey, Shay Beattie, Chris, Joe and Colton Redlich, and Jason Delainey (deceased). Interment followed at St. Augustine R.C. Cemetery.
