STANDFIELD: Catherine Lillian (WEBER) - (Medical Technologist, RCAF -Leading Air Woman, WWII, Dog Lover, Beekeeper) -We announce the passing of our beloved Aunt Kay, of the Brentwood Care Center, on Sunday November 13, 2011 at the age of 87. She leaves behind: her sisters Mary Louise Neiman of Saskatoon SK; Sister Juliana Weber (OSU) of Humboldt SK, Bernadette Langill of CalgaryAB, and her brother Victor (Ursula) Weber of Chilliwack BC; and sisters-in-law Helen Weber of Humboldt SK and Jean Weber of Cornwall ON. Kay was predeceased by her husband Dr. John H. Standfield of Chicago Il, her parents Peter and Cecilia (Koett) Weber, and her brothers Bernard, Rev. Jerome (OSB), Martin (WWII), Peter, Leo, Richard and Patrick. After her husband passed away suddenly, Kay moved from Chicago to Kingston ON to be closer to family. She worked at Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu before retiring. Seeking new adventures, she courageously ventured out west to start up anew in Calgary at the age of 72! There she became an avid volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the SPCA, and a great sister, friend, aunt and great aunt. She will be sorely missed by all. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the aforementioned charities is preferred.
