Our beautiful mom passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank, of 50 years. She is also survived by daughters Rhonda (Kelly) Sage and Karen (Dave) Carlson; granddaughters Anndrea (Jair) Poppelwell, Holly Carlson, Samantha (Adrian) Salahub, and Emma Carlson; great grandchildren Franchesca, Elliot, Zachariah,and Rachel; sisters Eleanor (Walter) Kiel, Linda (Garry) Everatt, Violet (Rick) Hiebert, brothers Keith (Maybelle) Playter, Ross (Joyce) Playter, her twin brother Grant (Joan) Playter, brother-in-law Harry Everatt, sisters-in-law Teana (Cornie) Ginter and Agatha Hildebrand and many many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Gertrude and Grant Playter, parents-in-law Peter and Aganatha Friesen, sister Edythe Everatt and brothers Kenneth and Earl Playter, brother-in-law Cornie Hildebrand and brother-in-law Peter Friesen and wife Dorothy. Judy loved playing cards, visiting with family and friends, and enjoyed many holidays to far away places. She was a fabulous cook and baker; there was always room for one more at her table. Her sewing, knitting and crocheting were often works of art, and always works of love. The family extends much gratitude to the staff at St. Paul's, Saskatoon City and Humboldt hospitals for their respectful and compassionate care, especially in mom's last hours.A memorial service was held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 1 at the Westminster United Church, Humboldt. Those wishing to honour her memory may make a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of SK, 279 - 3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to MALINOSKI & DANYLUIK FUNERAL HOME Humboldt, SK.
