It is with sadness that the family of John Anthony Stuckel of Humboldt, SK, announces his sudden passing at Humboldt District Hospital on Friday, June 22, 2012, at the age of 80 years. John was born on June 18, 1932, to John and Mary (nee Frank) Stuckel at Lake Lenore, SK. He is survived by two sisters: Hilde Weinmeyer of Edmonton, AB; and Ann (Roman) Beuker of Regina, SK; nieces, nephew, and great-nephews: Shelly Weinmeyer of Edmonton; Tracy (Ritchie) Dyck of Saskatoon, SK; and Carla (Jody) O'Shaughnessy of Edmonton; and by his nephew and great-nephews, Craig (Anny) Beuker and children Matthew and Aaron of Calgary, AB. John grew up in the Lake Lenore district, farming there until his retirement. He enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions, and for long drives visiting with people he met along the way. A Private Family Funeral Service was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Fr. Emile April. Others taking part were: Shelly Weinmeyer, crossbearer; Craig Beuker, urnbearer; Tracy Dyck and Carla O'Shaughnessy, scripture readers. Interment followed at St. Augustine R.C. Cemetery, Humboldt. A special thank-you to Valerie and Roy McNally for their assistance to John in his time of need, and to Dr. Ockbazghi and the staff of Humboldt District Hospital.
