John peacefully passed away September 9, 2010, at the age of 83 years, surrounded by his family. John was born on March 27, 1927, in Holdfast, SK. He was a small child when the family moved to the Pilger area. Growing up on a large family farm, John, an animal lover, enjoyed working with his Shetland ponies. They started a family on their small farm in Pilger and they later went on to opening a service station in Humboldt. John used the success of this station to pursue his love of farming, especially the raising and showing of Charolais cattle. In his spare time, John also excelled at his favourite pastime, curling. He went on to win many trophies and bonspiels, a highlight 小蓝视频 the Saskatchewan Brier district winner in 1964. After many years of farming John was able to pass on his knowledge to his son, which gave him the opportunity to spend more time with his family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Fidelis of 63 adventurous years; son, Garnet (Janine); daughter, Penelope (Brooke); grandchildren, Candace (Ryan), Kelly (Dave), Jolene, Mathew, Lisa (Chris), Vanessa (Justin); great-grandchildren, Shailley Anne and James; and by one brother and six sisters.
