The sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Evelyn (nee Roenspies) Froc of Humboldt, SK, (and formerly of Lake Lenore, SK) occurred at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She was 79 years of age. Evelyn, the second daughter of Albert Sr. and Clementine (nee LeBorgne) Roenspies was born on March 13, 1933, at home on their farm in the St. James district. She began her education at Hat Creek Rural School. In 1942, the family moved to Lac Vert in the Kermaria district, west of Naicam, SK. School continued there. Kermaria was an isolated area. Evelyn took grades nine and 10 by correspondence, and grades 11 and 12 were completed in Pleasantdale, where she worked for her room and board, because her parents could not afford to send her to school. From 1952 to 1953, she was a supervising teacher in the Leviathan School district. After that, Evelyn attended Teachers' College in Saskatoon. She spent the next three-and-a-half years at Pathlow, SK. While on the family farm, she spent most of her time outside helping her father and brothers, which she enjoyed much more than doing housework. On July 2, 1957, Evelyn married Victor Froc at Kermaria. Their union was blessed with five children, four sons and one daughter. The Frocs lived in Tisdale, SK, for a while, then in 1967, the family moved to Lake Lenore, where Evelyn continued her teaching career and Victor worked for Hertz Bus Limited as a mechanic. Over the years, most of their activities centered around their family, especially summer vacations spent camping and fishing in Northern Saskatchewan. On March 20, 1995, Victor passed away. Evelyn continued to reside in Lake Lenore until 2000, when she moved into Humboldt. The following year, she met Joe Greve, who has been her close companion ever since. Always a lady who had a zest for life and enjoyed a variety of hobbies and interests, Evelyn especially loved dancing, 小蓝视频 a hostess on Reggie's bus trips, and volunteering at the Good Neighbor Store, the Vintage Club, and at many other community events.
