ILG:Dwayne
The sudden and unexpected death of Mr. Dwayne Raymond Ilg, 53 years of Humboldt, occurred on Thursday, January 30, 2014. Dwayne was born on June 7, 1960 in Humboldt to Raymond and Bertha (nee Weisgerber) Ilg. He grew up in Humboldt, attending St. Augustine School and Humboldt Collegiate Institute. Throughout his life, he worked at a variety of jobs, mostly in the carpentry field. He most enjoyed finishing work where he could concentrate on the finer details of a project. Dwayne loved traveling the open roads on his Harley. He enjoyed all sports, including hockey, curling, bowling and playing pool. He was a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and was excited to be able to attend the Grey Cup this past November with his nephew Kyle. Above all, Dwayne's family was the most important part of his life. He had a special bond with his mother, Bertie and treated his niece and nephews like they were his own kids. He was very generous with them and was always ready to lend a hand to help them out whenever they needed something. Dwayne will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his mother, Bertie Cash of Humboldt; one brother, two sisters and their families: Gerry (Leslie) Ilg of Humboldt and family Raelynn (Scott) Winkel and children Alex and Bennett of Calgary, and Ryan (Sarah) Ilg of Saskatoon; Debbie (John) Schreiner of Gerald and family Kurt Schreiner (Amy Mierke) and children Jonah, Presley, Sebastian and Seger, and Kyle (Megan) Schreiner of Esterhazy and children Ayla, Easton and Rolston; and Kathy (Allan) Boser of Red Cliff, AB; two half-sisters and their families: Andra Arnyek (Paul) and family Preston, Kelsi and Keegan, of Moose Jaw, and Crystal (Bryan) Burnett and children Jack and Max of Saskatoon; and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dwayne was predeceased by his father, Raymond Ilg; and step father, Jack Cash. A Private Family Funeral Service was held on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home, Humboldt, officiated by Rev. Al Hingley.
