The passing of Bernice Zentner of LeRoy, SK, occurred on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Bernice was born to Peter and Sophia (nee Zaparaniuk) Markowski on September 1, 1951 in LeRoy, SK. She was raised in the LeRoy area and attended Spring Grove and LeRoy schools. After graduating from high school, she moved to Saskatoon where she took a babysitting job until 小蓝视频 hired at the pharmacy in Humboldt. On October 27, 1973 Bernice married Dwaine in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in LeRoy. Throughout their lives together, they resided on the farm at LeRoy and raised a family of four: Tracy, Blaine, Lesley and Lindsey. Aside from assisting on the farm and raising the kids, she was very talented in crafting and gardening. Bernice had a passion for antiques, jewellery, fishing and travel. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren: Tracy (James) of Watson and daughter Jane; Blaine of LeRoy; Lesley (Chris) of St Gregor and daughter Aubrey; Lindsey (Brett) of Waterdown, ON; mother, Sophia Markowski of LeRoy; sister, Barbara Hans (Murray) of Largo, Florida; brother-in-law, Ron Hans of Largo, Florida; six sisters-in-law: Elaine (John) Cales of LeRoy; Carol Zentner of Saskatoon; Lorrie (Tony) Blake of Red Deer; Cindy (Randy) O'Neill of Humboldt; Bonita (Les) Luciow of Calgary; Julie (Allan) Kirzinger of Englefeld; two brothers-in-law: Robert (Darlene) Zentner of Swift Curent; Michael (Annette) Zentner of LeRoy; special friend, Dennis Therres of LeRoy and his four daughters; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Dwaine Zentner (2008); father, Peter Markowski (1986); step-father, Murray Dennis (1994); father-in-law, Adam Zentner (1993); mother-in-law, Henrietta (nee Wickenhauser) Zentner (1988); brother-in-law, Leo Timmerman (2004). A Prayer Service for Bernice was held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, LeRoy, on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. presided by Dianna Knaus. Scripture readers were Darlene Zentner and Andrea Therres-McAvany and the music was provided by the Wickenhauser family. The eulogy was delivered by Marlene Swityk. The Funeral Service was held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, LeRoy, on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. presided by Fr. Paul Paproski and the crossbearer was Robin Zentner. Honorary pallbearers were Norman and Maxine Gierl, Ralph & Shonnie Loeffler, Bruce and Corinne Bornhorst, Ron Hans, and "all those who shared in Bernice's life". Active pallbearers were Myron Swityk, Michael Swityk, Robert Zentner, Allan Kirzinger, Stanley Gordon and Don Renz. Interment followed at St. Oswald Mission Cemetery, LeRoy District, SK. Memorial donations may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society. Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
