The death of Mr. Arnold "Arnie" Frank Harding of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, SK, (and formerly of Lake Lenore, SK), occurred at his residence on Saturday, March 31, 2012. He was 82 years of age. Arnie was born on June 20, 1929, to Frank and Cornelia (nee Betnar) Harding in Lake Lenore. He lived with his parents on the home place (SE1-40-22 W2nd., R.M. of Three Lakes) in the Lake Lenore district until 1974, when he moved with his dad into a house they fixed up in Tony Hartl's yard. After Arnie's dad died in 1976, he continued to live in their home until 1993, when Tony and Viola bought a house in Lake Lenore and Arnie moved into a low rental house, also in Lake Lenore. He resided there until 1999, when he relocated to an assisted living place called Wolverine Heights in Muenster, SK. In 2006, due to failing health and inability to take care of himself, Arnie became a resident of Aspen Manor at Bethany Pioneer Village, his home until the present. The happiest years of Arnie's life were those spent living on the farm. He enjoyed taking care of the cattle and making sure they were well watered. Over the years, Arnie's favorite pastime was watching television. He was also known for his sharp memory and the ability to recall a variety of facts pertaining to the farm and other information. Arnie is survived by his brother, Bernard Harding of Regina; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews, and great-great-nieces-and-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Cornelia (nee Betnar) Harding; two sisters: Dorothy (Fred) James and Viola (Tony) Hartl; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Harding; and by one nephew, Jeffery Harding. A Graveside Service will be held for Arnie at St. Anthony's R.C. Cemetery, Lake Lenore, at a later date, where he will be interred on his parents' grave. Memorial donations may be directed to the St. Anthony's R.C. Cemetery Fund. Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK.
