The passing of Mrs. Anna "Annie" (nee Schreindorfer) Mueller of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, (and formerly of Humboldt), occurred at her residence on Thursday, April 14, 2011. She was 82 years of age. Annie was the second daughter of four children born on November 1, 1928, to Joseph and Katharine (nee Horvat) Schreindorfer at Muenster. She attended Sjolie School in the St. Gertrude district. On April 23, 1946, Annie married Steve Mueller in St. Peter's Cathedral at Muenster. Four children were both to them; however, one daughter died in infancy. After their marriage, Steve and Annie bought land for their own homestead beside Annie's parents, whom they farmed with. Later, they built a house, which was completed in March 1960. Together, Steve and Annie raised their family and ran a grain and livestock farming operation, which also included several pets. They were very hard workers and also took on large janitorial jobs for various businesses in Humboldt, including, OK Economy, Schenn's Hatchery, and the Saan. In 1980, they retired from farming, sold their livestock and their land, and moved into Humboldt. They continued with their janitorial jobs for a while before totally retiring. Over the years, Annie's favorite pastimes were baking bread and pies, making noodles, sewing quilts, gardening, playing cards, listening to old time music, and playing bingo. Annie especially loved visiting with family and friends, making sure that everyone had enough to eat. She was very proud of her grandchildren. Annie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by one son, two daughters, eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren: Wilfred Mueller (special friend Debbie) of Humboldt and family, Tammy Mueller (Dave Yungmann) and her son Daegan Engele; Linda (Lloyd) Taphorn of LeRoy and family, Lanna (Glen) Martin and children, Mark, Kelsey, Hunter, Blake and Sydney; Shawna Doucette and children, Kara, Kyle and Hope; Teri (Mike) O'Sullivan and children Tianna, Declan, and Teagan; Nicole (Trevor) Fisher and daughters, Taleah and Mikaela; and Brenda (Ernie) Zubot of Burr and family, Marshall Zubot (Amanda), Melissa Zubot (Cody), and Rebecca Zubot (Michael). She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Mueller (January 24, 2008); parents, Joseph and Katharine (nee Horvat) Schreindorfer; daughter, Catherine Mueller (in Infancy); one brother, Wilfred Schreindorfer (in infancy); two sisters: Mary (Francis) Dunne and Rose (Raymond) Fleischhacker; and by one daughter-in-law, Dianne Mueller. The Prayer Service for Annie was held on Monday, April 18, 2011, at 7:30 p.m., at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel presided by Walter Sarauer.
