BATLLEFORDS — Update: April 17, 8:43 a.m.: Police are reporting that missing woman Jana Laliberte has been located deceased. Her family has been notified.
Based on the preliminary investigation, Jana Laliberte’s death is not believed to be suspicious in nature.
Original post, April 13, 4:50 p.m.: Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 33-year-old woman who was last seen earlier this week.
Jana Laliberte, who also goes by Jana Birdie, was reported missing to police on April 11. She was last seen on April 8 at a residence on Red Pheasant First Nation, according to a news release issued Sunday afternoon.
Laliberte is described as five feet one inch tall and approximately 120 pounds. She has long black hair with highlights, brown eyes and wears glasses. She has a tattoo on her left arm. What she was wearing at the time she was last seen is unknown.
Anyone with information about Laliberte’s whereabouts is asked to contact Battlefords RCMP at 310-RCMP.
