Man dies following altercation in Marshall

Initial investigation determined an altercation occurred between two males outside a residence on 2聽Avenue in Marshall.

MARSHALL - Police are investigating an altercation and death in Marshall.

On April 24 at approximately 4:30 a.m., Maidstone RCMP received a report of an incident in Marshall.

Injuries were reported.

Initial investigation determined an altercation occurred between two males outside a residence on 2 Avenue in Marshall. As a result, both males were injured. One of the males called for medical assistance. Officers responded immediately, along with local EMS.

One of the males was declared deceased by EMS while en route to the hospital. His family has been notified. 

The second adult male was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is now investigating the circumstances of this incident. As a result of investigation, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes have arrested an adult male. No charges have been laid at this time.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone who lives in Marshall to check their home security cameras and doorbell cameras for information or suspicious activity between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on April 24. If your device captured images or videos of suspicious activity, please report it to police immediately by dialing 310-RCMP. As the investigation is in preliminary stages, police say they are unable to provide additional information about this investigation at this time. Updates will be provided when available.
