One more Stars goal later and the beat down was over with a final score of 13-1 in favour of the Battlefords. 鈥淚t was just one of those games where everything went in for them and nothing did for us,鈥 said RawTec Mauler head coach Dan Cross via a phone interview Monday evening. 鈥淓verything they threw at the net seemed to go in while we couldn鈥檛 get anything past their guy.鈥

Cross then mentioned that the score was not indicative of the game, saying that Yorkton can definitely compete with them; it was just that one game that everyone has once a season. 鈥淲e know we can compete with them, so I鈥檓 not worried,鈥 offered Cross. 鈥淲e had a game like that earlier this year where we beat Beardy鈥檚 8-2.

鈥淲e just have to put it behind us and focus now on the rest of the season. I don鈥檛 think it hurt our camaraderie or anything; it was just one of those games.鈥
