The Yorkton Xerox Terriers of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League have had an outstanding season so far. They currently hold the first place position in the СÀ¶ÊÓƵ division of their league, and are tied for first place in the entire league of 21 teams. They have 36 points and a record of 17-3-2-0. Â
After taking a few weeks off for Christmas, the Xerox Terriers returned to home ice for three games this past weekend. They came out of the weekend with two wins and one loss.
On Friday, they faced the Saskatoon Stallions. The final score was 5-4 for the Xerox Terriers. Goals came from Austin Dycer, Massen Ziola (2), Ryder Korczak and Anthony Roebuck.
On Saturday, the Xerox Terriers saw their only loss of the weekend when they faced the Saskatoon Outlaws and fell 8-1. Yorkton’s one goal came from Anthony Roebuck with the assist from Josh Peppler for a shorthanded goal.
On Sunday they retaliated and took another win after a close game against the Prairie Storm. The final score was 5-4. Yorkton’s goals were scored by Josh Peppler (2), Massen Ziola and Jackson Berezowski (2). Â
Currently leading the team in points is Jackson Berezowski who has an impressive 60 points coming from 27 goals and 33 assists in 22 games played. Second to him is Ryder Korczak with 59 points from 19 goals and 40 assists from 22 games played. Berezowski and Korczak also lead the league in points, coming in first and second respectively.
The Xerox Terriers are on the road for a few weeks and will return to home ice on Friday, Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m. when they face the Estevan TS&M Bruins at the Farrell Agencies Arena.
