Terrier Assistant Coach Mat Hehr said he liked the early effort by the Terriers to set the momentum on the home side early, adding while they put pressure on Melville they were also able to keep their emotions in check.
鈥淲e did a good job of pressing their 鈥楧鈥,鈥 he added. 鈥淲e kept our feet moving.鈥
Hehr said the Terriers went to the net well too.
鈥淎gainst a bigger goalie like Wells 鈥 you try to get into his eyes,鈥 he said.
On defence Yorkton made it tough on the Millionaires to get in close, said Hehr, who added by taking away the middle ice, Melville has to take a lot of their shots from the perimetre.
The teams met again Sunday afternoon in Melville in the rivals鈥 traditional New Year鈥檚 Day match-up.
