YORKTON — Barbara McDougall is still catching her breath after a $100,000 win on her Crossword Cherry Tripler scratch ticket.
The Yorkton winner says she scratched her ticket and thought she had won $10,000 before she checked a second time. The $100,000 winning total took her breath away.
“I was so excited I couldn’t sleep that night,” she said while claiming her prize. “I was shaking.”
“I told my husband first thing in the morning when he woke up and he didn’t believe me,” she added, laughing.
The winner then had her son and daughter verify the win on the Lotto Spot app and they all celebrated together after confirming.
“First things first,” she explained. “Bills are getting paid off!”
She says whatever is left of her winnings will be for some family fun.
“I was flabbergasted,” she said. “There’s no comparison to the feeling!”
McDougall purchased her winning Crossword Cherry Tripler ticket at Mobil Gas Station, located at 88 Highway 9 小蓝视频 in Yorkton. She won the top prize by uncovering 10 words on her ticket.
