REGINA — Around a thousand parents and kids took in the Easter egg and scavenger hunt at Government House on Saturday.
While the weather made for an unusual Easter egg hunt, Gareth Evans, the Programming and Visitor Services Supervisor with Government House, said he was thrilled by the turnout.
“We love to think that we’re part of the community here, and seeing the turnout has been amazing,” he said. “We’re very much known for providing a great family experience, whether just giving guided tours of the museum or a special event like this.”
Evans said they decided to make a change to this year’s event.
"This year was a change from the previous years when we had everything inside. We decided to explore the outside because we have 8.5 acres of garden out here and wanted to bring awareness to that.”
He added that overall, it was a fantastic day that left many with a great experience and the reward of a chocolate treat.
