SASKATOON — Roberta McIntyre is feeling extra grateful after a rare lottery ticket purchase resulted in a $100,000 win!

The Saskatoon winner picked up a Lotto Max ticket and won a $100,000 Extra prize on the Jan. 19 draw.

“My husband went into the store to check my ticket while I waited in the car,” she explained. “He immediately came out and got me to come in and look.”

“I just laughed in disbelief,” she continued. “My husband leaned over and whispered ‘$100,000!’”

The winner said she is planning to use her winnings to visit her daughter in Lake Louise, Alta., and splurge on some new furniture.

“I thought about all the things I’ve been wanting to buy and paying off debt and then I thought, ‘Holy sh*t, I’ll still have so much left over!’” she laughed.

McIntyre purchased her winning ticket at Fas Gas Highway Junction 10, located at the intersection between Highways 5 and 41 near Saskatoon.
