SASKATOON — A 32-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman are facing a number of firearm-related charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit.
On Dec. 27, investigators, with assistance from the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in 1000 block of 23rd Street West. The male and female were arrested without incident. A search of the home located a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.
The two are charged with eight firearms offences, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon with readily accessible ammunition and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
They were expected to appear in court on Dec. 28.
