SASKATOON — Saskatoon police are investigating following an armed robbery at a convenience store Friday morning in which an employee was assaulted.
At approximately 7:40 a.m. Friday, police were called to a convenience store in the 3700 block of Diefenbaker Drive for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, officers learned that three males armed with a firearm and metal rod had entered the store, assaulted an employee, and fled with cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects have not been located but officers are continuing to investigate. Anyone with information or video evidence believed to be relevant is asked to contact police directly at 306-975-8300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
