MOOSEJAWTODAY.COM — The Moose Jaw Wakamow, Moose Jaw and Assiniboia Rotary clubs are hosting the Rotary International District 5550 this weekend at the Exhibition Grounds' Convention Centre. To celebrate this occasion, 15 Wing Airbase sent two training planes to fly over the venue to welcome the 150 delegates.
The conference sessions are open to residents. The schedule for Friday is:
- 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm Keynote Address - Della Ferguson (Hope and Mental Wellness for Individuals and Community)
- 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm Presentation - Laura Hamilton (Hope and Mental Wellness Through Art)
On Saturday, the schedule is:
- 9:30 am – 10:15 am Presentation - Lisa Franks, Paralympian Gold Medal Winner and World Record Holder (Hope in the Face of Adversity)
- 10:45 am – 12:00 pm Presentation - Judge Clifford Toth and Meagan Jasper, Saskatchewan’s Therapeutic and Drug Courts and Lived Experience (Hope and Mental Wellness in the Face of Addictions)
- 1:00 pm – 1:30 pm Keynote Address - Maryse Carmichael, Snowbird Commander and Moose Jaw City Manager
