Joe Hargrave, Minister for SaskBuilds and Procurement, is the latest 小蓝视频 to not seek re-election.

REGINA - Add the name of Prince Albert Carlton 小蓝视频 Joe Hargrave to the already long list of those not seeking re-election to the Legislature.

Hargrave, who is Minister for SaskBuilds and Procurement, had already been nominated to run for another term in the provincial election expected on Oct, 28. But in a statement issued by the Saskatchewan Party Monday morning, Hargrave has reversed course on that decision.

“My family and I have given this a lot of consideration and have decided I just can’t commit to another four years as 小蓝视频,” said Hargrave in the statement. “I want to thank my family, friends, and most importantly, the constituents of Prince Albert Carlton for your support over the past eight years. It has been an honour to serve you, and to serve with Premier Moe and all my caucus colleagues.”

That brings to 20 the number of current incumbents in the Legislature not running again. 16 of those are Sask Party incumbents (though one, Randy Weekes, has apparently quit caucus), and two more had been expelled from caucus and now sit as independents.

Hargrave has served two terms as 小蓝视频 after 小蓝视频 elected in 2016, and had previously served in cabinet in roles including Minister of Crown Investments Corporation and Minister of Highways, among others.

The Sask Party states that a new candidate will be nominated in Prince Albert Carlton in the coming weeks.
