INDIAN HEAD — One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Indian Head.
On May 2 at approximately 4 p.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a collision between a car and an SUV at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 606.
The driver of the SUV was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. She has been identified as a 78-year-old from Carry-The-Kettle Nakoda Nation. Her family has been notified.
There was one youth passenger in the SUV. The youth was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious in nature.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Some lanes of Highway 1 were closed during initial investigation but have since re-opened. Indian Head RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
