SASKATOON — A Spring Symposium is to be held on Saturday, April 13 at Smiley’s Buffet and Event Center in Saskatoon, organized by Lupus SK Society Inc..
The two presenters are recognized specialists in leadership and change. Dr. Alan Rosenberg, professor emeritus at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, will give an update on the important and exciting research into childhood rheumatic disease currently СÀ¶ÊÓƵ done, and will introduce the IDEA Lab, an innovative online website dealing with childhood rheumatism.
Dr. Micheal Epstein will shed light on the patient’s voice and the future of health care. He also heads the Centre for Integrative Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, which he will be explaining.
Since 1975 volunteers have been running Lupus SK Society Inc., a nonprofit charity. It is committed to improving the lives of those living with lupus. This autoimmune disease continues to be underfunded and rather unknown in the larger community. The society provides education and public awareness about lupus and helps fund research in Saskatchewan.
