Is AI good for cheating? Yes, it's good for cheating, but it's great for teaching, and even greater for learning. As many of you know, alongside my full-time consulting practice, I have the privilege of serving as the Professor of Advanced Media in Residence at the Newhouse School of Public Communications. I'm thrilled to announce my upcoming talk: "."

The seminar will examine the transformative impact of generative AI in education for both teachers and students. The talk will highlight innovative strategies for educators (such as prompt crafting/engineering and role-playing exercises) to help maximize student engagement. I will also explore how to balance students’ desire to “game the system” while acknowledging that mastery of generative AI systems is now an essential life skill. Through live demonstrations and case studies, I hope to equip participants with a nuanced understanding of how to effectively integrate AI into educational settings and offer guidance for the emerging ethical and practical challenges.

If you're wondering about the  program at Newhouse, it's a 12-month, 36-credit M.S. program that puts students at the intersection of media, technology, and business. The program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the rapidly changing media landscape and lead organizations in the media industry. Graduates of this program work in all aspects of media and communications including big tech, public relations, marketing, and advertising. Many have also launched their own startups.
