Delta Co-op deals with B&E鈥檚 and theft

Thefts from the Wilkie gas station and Unity Home Centre took place within an hour of each other, on the early morning of May 22.

UNITY – A string of break and enters have the Unity and Wilkie RCMP requesting assistance in identifying a suspect.

At approximately 4:40 a.m. on May 22, the suspect broke into the Delta Co-op gas station in Wilkie. The unknown individual stole items such as Milwaukee brand chainsaws, leaf blowers and tools worth $1,500.

A short 45 minutes later at 5:25 a.m., the same individual broke into the Unity Home Centre location, stealing more Milwaukee tools with an estimated value of $1,500.

The suspect left the scenes in an older model, diesel, four-door Chevrolet truck, dark red in colour. The license plate is believed to be from Alberta.

The suspect stands approximately six feet tall, is of medium build, wearing a black sweatshirt with the letters 'CANADA' on the right sleeve. The suspect was wearing a mask under a grey hood along with light brown Carhartt-type pants.

If you have any information regarding this crime, please call the Unity RCMP at 306-228-6300, the Wilkie RCMP at 306-843-3780 or 1-800-222-8477 to leave an anonymous tip. If your tip leads to an arrest or charge, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000.
