Cut Knife RCMP recover stolen vehicle, three arrested & charged

Multiple shed break-ins were reported throughout Cut Knife, with nothing stolen.

Cut Knife Report- March 10 to 16

RCMP received 38 calls for service from March 10 to 16. These files included well-СÀ¶ÊÓƵ checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischiefs, assaults, break and enters, Mental Health Act calls and assisting other agencies.

Notable files include:

A couple of mischief and break-ins were reported in the community of Cut Knife. Members responded to calls on March 10 regarding a couple sheds in the community that were pried open however, nothing was taken. The Bowling Alley was also pried on, causing extensive damage, however, no entry was gained. This matter is still under investigation.

On March 14, members located a vehicle that was stolen out of North Battleford, three individuals were arrested and charged.

Thirteen traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding tickets, warnings, and three roadside suspensions were given.

Members responded to one alarm and responded to four Mental Health Act calls.

Unity Report- March 18 to 24

RCMP received a complaint of an individual in a residence yard. Members attended but could not locate the subject of complaint.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter but it was unfounded.

Members issued a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

RCMP conducted a well-СÀ¶ÊÓƵ check at the request of another RCMP detachment.

Police are investigating a complaint of drug trafficking.

A 20-year-old male from Unity was charged with assault after a member received a complaint of assault.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose. The vehicle passenger sustained minor injuries.

A 20-year-old male from Unity was charged with resist Peace Officer, failure to comply with an undertaking condition, and two counts of assault Police Officer after members received a report of an individual breaching an undertaking.

There was also one false alarm.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a complaint of an unwanted dog at a residence. Members informed the animal owner to contact an animal shelter.

A 42-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with fail to comply with undertaking condition after members received a complaint of an individual breaching an undertaking condition.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter. This matter is still under investigation.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Members received a complaint of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of assault. This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one traffic complaint, one false 911 call and one false alarm.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members are investigating a complaint of disturbing the peace.

Police received a few reports of an abandoned trailer. The trailer was not stolen and not a roadway hazard. No further police action required.

RCMP received a complaint of drug trafficking. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a complaint of theft of fuel from a local gas station. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a report of an injured moose on the highway. Members contacted Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management.

Members issued a 60-day roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

There was also one false alarm and one false 911 call.

Cut Knife Report- March 16 to 23

RCMP received 65 calls for service from March 16 to 23. These files included well-СÀ¶ÊÓƵ checks, reports of disturbances, reports of traffic offences, mischiefs, assaults, break and enters, Mental Health Act calls, sexual assaults, robberies and assisting other agencies. Notable files include:

A 42-year-old was charged with unauthorized possession and unsafe storage of a firearm. Members found the gun in plain view when responding to an unrelated call.

Members responded to a call on March 19 regarding a break-in at the health clinic at Little Pine First Nation. Some advertising products for the clinic were taken. The matter is still under investigation.

Members assisted EMS with a 33-year-old male who was thrown from a quad with a head injury.

Members responded to a third-party complaint on March 22 regarding a female in a white Nissan Pathfinder attempting to reverse into a pedestrian on Poundmaker Cree Nation. Unable to locate the victim or vehicle.

On March 16, members were dispatched to a robbery at the Country Roads. The victim claimed to have been beaten up and had their things taken. On follow-up, the victim did not want to provide any details for police and were not able to continue with the investigation.

Eight traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding tickets, warnings and roadside suspensions. Members responded to two alarms and responded to five Mental Health Act calls.
