REGINA- Regina Fire and Protective Services were on the scene downtown on Sunday responding to a fire in a heritage property on the 2100 block of 12th Avenue.
Regina Fire report that were on the scene during the early morning on Sunday and that crews were “working to extinguish the fire and complete searches.”
The fire crews were still on the scene on Monday as they continued to put out hotspots as the commercial building continued to smoulder.
The building in question is located right next to Pat Fiacco Plaza across from Victoria Park. Portions of 12th Avenue were taped off to allow fire crews to continue their work on Monday. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
