Head chef John Babchuk served 270 free turkey suppers to guests attending the official opening of the expanded and modernized Senlac Hotel, owned by Joe Neth.

Table Mountain Regional Park was officially opened by the Hon. Eiling Kramer, 小蓝视频 for the Battlefords.

Over 300 people attended the annual Senlac Wildlife Federation’s supper in the Senlac Community Hall.

When school was cancelled Dec. 13 due to a severe blizzard, the buses turned around after reaching the school.

Macklin Chamber of Commerce was showing the movie, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, for their annual Santa Day.

Unity’s Winterlights parade boasted over 35 floats for spectators to ooh and aah over. The parade was part of several events in Unity as Unity had entered the national Winterlights Celebrations competition for the first time.

The Town of Wilkie was reviewing their no-smoking bylaw in order to include the community centre dance hall in the list of places where smoking was prohibited.

The Unity Miners won their fourth straight game, with Martin Smith, Dustin Bru, Brent Salzi and Lee Ulmer leading them in goal scoring.

Larrie Thalheimer reported a break-in at his store, Ultra Sports in Unity. Among items taken were 25 pairs of Oakley sunglasses as well as an entire rack of jackets and bunny-hugs.

Camcorders were on a lot of Christmas wish lists and Cinema Satellite in Unity had DVD Handycam Camcorders available for $1,499.
