The Wilkie Air Cadet Squadron 399 raised $690 in a walk-a-thon. They donated half to the Combined Appeal of Wilkie District and purchased a used school bus with the other half. They would use the bus for instruction in mechanical upkeep and for field trips.

Domtar Ltd. announced a $1.3 million expansion program for the Sifto salt plant in Unity. The expansion would increase capacity to 200,000 tons a year.

The Delta Co-operative Service Station at Unity, managed by Matt Wildeman, was presented an Excellence Award by Federated Co-operatives Limited.

Luseland Credit Union was pleased to announce that effective Jan. 1, 1974, there would be no service charges on any chequing accounts.
