REGINA - The riding of Regina 小蓝视频 Albert is a new electoral district created for the upcoming 2024 provincial election. Regina 小蓝视频 Albert took parts of Regina Pasqua, Regina University and Lumsden-Morse to create the new constituency.
In the 2020 election, the New Democrats had the most votes in the area, receiving 48 per cent of the votes.
The NDP will send candidate Aleana Young to win the new riding. Young is the former 小蓝视频 for Regina University, winning the 2020 election for the riding.
Young is the former vice president of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association and was a trustee of the Regina Public School Board. Young is also a mother and owns a cheese shop in Regina.
While the NDP had the most votes in the area that would make up the new Regina 小蓝视频 Albert constituency, the Saskatchewan Party finished second, with 44 per cent of the votes.
The Sask Party is sending candidate Khushdil Mehrok for the Regina 小蓝视频 Albert riding.
Mehrok came to Canada from India and moved to Indian Head in 2006. His family started managing a local motel business that expanded across the province. His family also launched a distribution company that helps support small businesses.
He and his wife, with their daughters, currently live in Regina. This will be Mehrok's first attempt to run for a legislative seat.
The third party running for Regina 小蓝视频 Albert is the Saskatchewan Green Party and their candidate, Leonie Williams.
The Sask Green Party received 3.6 per cent of the votes in the area.
Also running for Regina 小蓝视频 Albert are the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan and their candidate, David Teece.
Teece ran in the 2020 election for Regina Gardiner Park and received 1.7 per cent of the votes.
These four candidates will seek to win Regina 小蓝视频 Albert in the 2024 provincial election on Oct. 28.
