Young woman victim of group violence on bus in Regina

Witness told police 10 to 15 youth attacked the victim.

REGINA – Police are looking to the public for any information that could assist their investigation into a group beating on a young female victim on a city bus.

The call came in just after 6 p.m. on March 9, in the 2100 block of 11th Avenue, with police responding to a report of an assault in progress.

“The caller stated 10 to 15 youth were assaulting a female youth on the bus,” said RPS in a media release. “When officers arrived, the suspects were no longer at the scene.”

The victim - who was still on the bus - was taken to hospital by EMS to treat “minor physical injuries.”

“Police are continuing their investigation into this occurrence,” RPS said, adding that anyone with information on this incident is asked to call (306) 777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
