Woman charged in David Dustyhorn's death back in Saskatoon court

She was arrested in October and has been out on bail since November 2023.

David Dylan Dustyhorn was murdered at an apartment in the city's west end on May 27, 2023.

SASKATOON – A woman charged with manslaughter in 33-year-old David Dylan Dustyhorn’s death had an appearance in Saskatoon court Jan. 9 and her matter was adjourned to Jan. 16.

A bench warrant to hold was also issued for Jayleen Eliza Ann Missens, 33, who was arrested in October 2023 and released on bail in November 2023.

Dustyhorn, from Kawacatoose First Nation, was the city's fourth homicide victim in 2023. On May 27, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police were called to a home in the 100 block of Confederation Place for a report of an injured man.

He was taken to Royal University Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
