SASKATOON – A woman has been charged with aggravated assault after a woman was stabbed around 5:20 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Saskatoon police say that they were called to the 400 block 3rd Avenue North for a report of an injured person and when they arrived, they found out there was a confrontation between two women. The victim and suspect were both 51. The stabbing isn’t believed to be random in nature.
The victim left the scene and walked to the Saskatoon police headquarter building for help, which was only a short distance away. Police helped her until paramedics arrived and treated her for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect had remained at the scene and police arrested her without incident.
