Warrant issued for Webb man on firearms charges

Ryan Barsness is known to frequent Regina, police say.

WEBB – A warrant has been issued for a 50-year-old Webb man facing firearms charges.

The charges stem from a report to the Swift Current Rural RCMP back in November of 2022. Through investigation, police executed a search warrant at a home in Webb on Feb. 20.

"They located and seized 34 firearms, approximately 1,000 rounds of ammunition, 19 grams of methamphetamine and a sum of cash from the residence," said RCMP in a media release.

Ryan Barsness was charged with three counts each unsafe storage of firearms, unauthorized possession of a firearm; two counts possession of a loaded restricted firearm; and a single count possession of a weapon obtained by crime.

Barsness - who is described as СÀ¶ÊÓƵ 5'5" tall, 180 lbs. with blue eyes and brown hair - is known to travel to Regina, and his current whereabouts are unknown. He does have a scar on his right eyebrow.
