Wanted man captured: Appears in Prince Albert court Friday

Faron Roberts now faces additional firearms charges.

PRINCE ALBERT – A man wanted by Prince Albert police was arrested after a foot chase Thursday.

Faron Roberts, 23, appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court Friday and is due back in court March 15.

Prince Albert Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team located Roberts just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. He was apprehended in the 800 block of 14 Street West and police found a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and ammunition in a nearby area outside. Police charged Roberts with careless use of a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon, carry a concealed weapon, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Prince Albert Police Service had released Robert’s photo on Feb. 16 warning the public that he was unlawfully at large while on statutory release from prison.
