Two Regina teens charged after unpaid taxi fare

First appearances in Provincial Youth Court set, say police.

REGINA – Two youths in Regina are facing charges in Provincial Youth Court after police were called for a complaint on unpaid taxi fare.

Just after 10 p.m. on Feb. 26, police were dispatched to the 300 block of Wascana Street, initiating an investigation after meeting with the victim.

A 16-year-old male was charged with robbery and fail to comply with condition of a release order, and will make his first court appearance on Feb. 27.

A 16-year-old female was also charged with assaulting a peace officer and obstruction. Her first court appearance will be on April 4.

Both teens cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
