LLOYDMINSTER, Alta. – A two-day trial for a 45-year-old Lashburn, Sask., man has been set for January 2024 in Lloydminster Alberta Court of Justice.

Last month Sir Brent Adair Habetler pleaded not guilty to a charge of committing an indecent act in the Lloydminster, Alta., swimming pool.

According to Alberta court records, on March 13 Habetler willfully committed an indecent act in a public place in the presence of one or more persons with intent to insult or offend a person. He was additionally charged with willfully obstructing, interrupting or interfering with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property, the community swimming pool, thereby committing mischief.

In April, charges of mischief, failing to comply with a release order and possession of property under $5,000 were withdrawn by the Crown.

Lloydminster, Alta., RCMP believe there may be additional victims and encourage those individuals to come forward.

In March, Saskatchewan RCMP said that in the interest of public safety, they were advising the residents of the Maidstone RCMP detachment area and surrounding communities of an offender who has been charged with committing an indecent act and is at high risk to reoffend.
