SASKATOON – Two men tried fleeing from police but were stopped by Mother Nature after their vehicle couldn’t gain traction on Saskatoon’s snowy streets. Saskatoon Police Service patrol officers had stopped their unregistered vehicle in the 700 block of Avenue I 小蓝视频 at about 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 11.
When police were trying to identify the occupants, they learned that the driver gave them a false name, and while returning to the vehicle, the driver tried to flee but was unable to gain traction because of the snow. Both the driver and passenger were ordered out of the vehicle and arrested without further incident.
Inside the vehicle, police found a loaded sawed-off shotgun with the serial number removed, several rounds of ammunition, a folding knife, and $4,765 cash.
The two men, ages 36 and 25, are both facing several weapons-related charges. The 36-year-old has also been charged with 小蓝视频 police, obstruction, and failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
