SASKATOON – Sentencing has been delayed again for Shanelle Crowe who had pleaded guilty earlier this year to manslaughter.
Crowe has been out on bail but is now back in custody in Pine Grove Correctional Centre for failing to comply with release conditions. On Oct. 4, Saskatoon court heard that another address is 小蓝视频 canvassed so she can be released on bail again ahead of her sentencing hearing, now scheduled for Nov. 11. She is back in court Oct. 11 for a bail hearing.
Crowe was arrested in June 2022 and charged with second-degree murder. She pleaded guilty in February to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
Two others are charged in Squirrel’s murder. Bret Ian Rattlesnake and Cynthia Cheryl Chelsey Swiftwolf are both charged with second-degree murder. Their jury trial is scheduled for June 2024 in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench.
Twenty-two-year-old Trinity Squirrel was found injured on Hodgson Road near Highway 7 about five kilometres southwest of Saskatoon at about 1:15 p.m. on April 15, 2022. He was pronounced deceased shortly after emergency responders arrived.
An obituary for Squirrel on Conley Funeral Home said that Trin was an active member of the Fishing Lake community and a volunteer firefighter for the First Nation’s fire department.
