SASKATOON – Police arrested two men Friday after tracking a stolen vehicle using GPS technology.

Police say that at about 9 a.m. on March 31, they got information that a vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent East. When they arrived, officers observed two men standing next to the vehicle and ordered them to comply. One of the men attempted to flee at which time a CEW was deployed by police. Both men were then taken into custody without further incident.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and a 35-year-old Saskatoon man was charged with failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.

The deployment of the CEW will be reviewed in accordance with policy.
