Saskatoon police make arrests in three stabbings

The three stabbings over the last two days were separate incidents, say police.

SASKATOON - Saskatoon Police have arrested three people in connection with three separate stabbings over the last two days.

On Feb. 24, at approximately 1:30 a.m. police were called to the area of the 100 block Avenue U СÀ¶ÊÓƵ. A man armed with a knife, was witnessed chasing another man. Officers had been in the area and quickly located and arrested a male suspect. They also located a 44 year old victim at a nearby residence. He had been stabbed multiple times and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The 30-year-old male suspect will be charged with aggravated assault and breach of a court order. He is expected to appear in court Friday.

On Feb. 22, at approximately 9:40 p.m. officers responded to a stabbing that occurred outside a building in the 400 block of Fairmont Drive. Police were in the immediate area and quickly located the suspect in a parking lot where he was arrested. A knife was located nearby. The 33-year-old victim was found to be suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound and was transported to hospital. The 19-year-old suspect is charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation.  

At approximately 10 p.m. the same night, police were called to a suite in the 500 block of Avenue X СÀ¶ÊÓƵ.  A 49-year-old man had been stabbed and was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was located at the residence and taken into custody. He was charged with assault with a weapon.
