SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Police Air Support Unit assisted in multiple incidents over the weekend.
On April 28, at approximately 2:20 a.m. police responded to reports of a break and enter in the 1900 Block of McKercher Drive.
After arriving on scene, officers learned the suspects had already left but were seen walking southbound. Members of the ASU began monitoring the suspects and directed officers to their location.
As a result, a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were arrested and charged with break and enter, and theft over $5000. The 15-year-old is also charged with breaching court ordered conditions.
A couple of hours later, at approximately 4:10 a.m. police attempted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of 19th Street West and Avenue J 小蓝视频. The vehicle stopped momentarily before 小蓝视频 police.
Ground officers disengaged as members of the SPS Air Support Unit (ASU) then began monitoring the vehicle as it fled at a high rate of speed. ASU was able to follow the vehicle to a parking lot where officers were able to surround and arrest the driver.
As a result, a 30-year-old man has been charged with 小蓝视频 police, dangerous driving, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
