SASKATOON – Update: Saskatoon Fire Department says the cause of the fire is undetermined. Fire damage is estimated at $200,000.
Original story: Saskatoon firefighters put out a structure fire in the 3800 Block of Diefenbaker Drive Sunday night.
At about 7:25 p.m. on Feb. 4, Saskatoon Fire Department dispatched three fire engines, a ladder truck, a rescue unit and the Battalion Chief.
Crews arrived at 7:30 p.m. and reported a two-storey structure fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters battled the fire from inside and utilities were shut down for scene safety on the fire ground.
At 8:16 pm an exterior attack on the fire in the basement was initiated.
The fire was brought under control at 8:47 pm.
There were no injuries.
A fire Investigator is investigating the cause.
