Regina Police make arrests following report of stolen vehicle

Two people charged, make first court appearances on charge of possession of property obtained by crime.

Regina Police report a stolen vehicle has been located on Robinson Street.

REGINA - Regina Police Service are reporting two people have been arrested following a report of a stolen vehicle.

In a news release, Regina Police say that on Monday morning. Jan. 13, they located a parked vehicle in the 1200 block of Robinson Street that was reported stolen to the RCMP,

Regina Police say two occupants were observed in the vehicle. Their officers then conducted a stationary traffic stop, and police say both the male and female passengers were arrested without incident. A search of the vehicle also turned up a number of stolen items, according to police.

Police confirm that both the male and female suspects have been charged with the Criminal Code offence of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

Both accused made their first appearances on the charge in Provincial Court on Monday afternoon.
