REGINA – Police in Regina seized drugs and weapons from a pair of men in a business on the 2100 block of 11th Avenue.
The call came in at 5 p.m. on March 9, alerting police that one of the two men who entered the business had a firearm.
“Upon arrival, police located the suspects and arrested two adult males without incident,” said RPS in a media release. “A search of the males led to the retrieval of a firearm along with drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine.”
Police also seized bear spray from one of the men.
Brandon Perra, 27, was charged with two counts possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine and fentanyl); and single counts carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm known its possession is unauthorized, and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.
Lachlan Rabut, 19, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon.
Both men are scheduled to appear in provincial court on these matters on March 10.
