SASKATOON – Two men face numerous charges following a four-week investigation into repeat drug trafficking activities.

Saskatoon police say that Project Repeat resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Andrew Karamat of Saskatoon, 32-year-old Ivan Nario of Calgary, Alta., and 30-year-old Sinita Sparvier of Saskatoon.

On Sept. 25, Karamat was arrested without incident in the area of McKercher Drive and 105th Street East following a vehicle stop. Police say he was found to be in possession of one kilogram of cocaine in brick form.

Shortly after, members of the RCMP conducted a vehicle stop near Kindersley and arrested Nario. Police believe Nairo met with Karamat earlier that day for the purpose of a drug transaction. They say he had one kilogram of cocaine in brick form and more than $82,000 in cash.

Saskatoon police then executed two search warrants in the 900 block of Wilkins Court and 400 block of Bronson Crescent, which resulted in the additional arrest of 30-year-old Sinita Sparvier.

During the raids, police seized 6.59 kilograms of cocaine in brick form, $272,450 CAD, 44 cartons of illegal cigarettes, 30-round Glock magazine, 2016 Dodge Durango, 2019 GMC Sierra, 2019 Honda Civic, luxury watches, bags, shoes, and clothing.

Karamat, Nario, and Sparvier are all facing charges relating to drug trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. Karamat is also facing charges for breaching court-imposed conditions and possessing a prohibited device. He was previously charged by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit in 2021 for various drug trafficking offences following Project Octane, an inter-provincial investigation targeting high-level drug traffickers. Karamat remains before the courts in relation to that.
