PRINCE ALBERT - Update: After investigation and autopsy, the death of a 31-year-old woman on Thursday, April 5 is considered not suspicious or criminal in nature. The name of the deceased will not be released at the request of family.
Original story: Prince Albert police are investigating after a 31-year-old woman was found deceased at about 1:30 a.m. on April 5.
Prince Albert Police Service responded to a home in the 700 Block of 12th Street West to assist Parkland Ambulance for a report of a woman who was unconscious and not breathing. On arrival, police located the woman, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police remain on scene and can be expected to be visible in the area as the Criminal Investigation Division investigates, along with the Office of the Chief Coroner.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.
