WHITEWOOD – No injuries were reported during an incident between an SUV and a tractor trailer unit, both travelling on Highway 1 near Burrows, Sask. just east of Whitewood.
The Whitewood Fire Department noted they were on scene at 10:30 a.m., on Jan. 26, restricting westbound traffic to one lane.
Once tow trucks were able to remove the vehicles, the westbound lane was briefly closed, with all units leaving the scene at noon.
Winter driving conditions exist throughout the province, with some areas reporting road closures. Anyone heading out is cautioned to check with road conditions and weather reports before departing. If travel can be delayed, that may be the wisest decision.
